A village development of fourteen houses centred around a communal garden space and situated adjacent to the parish church. The site is a scheduled monument and through lengthy discussions with English Heritage a design evolved to protect the remains of a buried Saxon settlement. High quality landscape design and finishes add value to the properties and create a instantly comfortable environment for new residents.
The project won a coveted DAILY MAIL GREENLEAF HOUSING AWARD in 2005. Chris Hogben of Milborne Port Partnership commented – “This Greenleaf Award for Church Place is a fitting recognition of the creative input from The Landscape Practice. The design initiative taken by the joint developers and The Landscape Practice has produced a mature and interesting scheme of the highest standard, and the most pleasing living environment for all the residents of Church Place”. |
