The Landscape Practice prepared a masterplan for the whole garden area based on a detailed brief prepared by the clients. Views over the garden from the house were dominated by a large grassed bank rising in front of ground floor windows. Careful treatment of levels and the creation of a series of terraces gave the much needed breathing space around the house and creates a series of plains which provide the perfect way to present the range of lush calcareous plants. The first phase of the gardens which includes most of the paved terraces and planting is completed.
