The Landscape Practice were asked to appraise the land and identify any development opportunities. The site forms part of the grade 2 listed garden associated with a grade 1 listed manor house. The land occupies part of the low lying river valley as well as rising ground and local high points. Arising from the landscape and architectural studies proposals have been made for a variety of leisure uses that would supplement existing local public facilities and provide valuable strategic footpath and cycleway links.
